Here Goes Nothing...

If I'm honest, I really should have started this AGES ago, but better start it sooner rather than later. So although, thanks to circumstances i won't go into, I missed the lecture but was there for the seminar and found the subject matter very interesting. It was on "APROPREATION" , which means to take something and change it to mean somethingelse, for example the film "Je T'aime John Wayne" by Toby McDonald  a (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIvdwfJWM-0is) apropreating the famous french new wave film "A Bout De Souffle" by Jean-Luc Godard. This really sparked an interest in me, I've always loved films and TV shows filled to the brim with refences to other films, music, for instance the TV movie of bbc sci-fi comedy series "Red Dwarf" entitled "Back to Earth" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aINa6tg3fo) Apropreated a lot from the film "Blade Runner" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkcU0gwZUdg&feature=related)
